We try to answer all questions as accurately as possible, but we would ask that you check all information on the website and FAQ section before contacting us.

In the interest of Health & Safety

Under 16’s MUST be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian. 

Guardian must remain with under 16’s and take full responsibility for them throughout the duration of the event and stay at Castle Park Slane Campsite and Carpark.

Are you allowed firepits/barbeques?

Yes, we do permit the use of firepits/barbeques only in our designated BBQ Area. 

Firepits/barbeques must be fully supervised at all times, used to manufacturers guidelines and must be fully extinguished before leaving.

Children under 13 are not permitted to use firepits/barbeques.

Any Firepits/barbeques lit outside the BBQ Area will be extinguished and removed by a member of staff.

Are pets allowed?

No. We do not permit pets (other than registered guide or hearing dogs) in the campsite or carpark at any time.

Will the campsite be lit at night?

We will have large lighting is areas of the campsite and carpark. However, at night due to rural locations. We strongly recommend bringing a torch to use once the sun goes down.

What items that are prohibited on-site?
  • Fireworks, Chinese Lanterns and flares
  • The use of drones (including toy drones) or similar is prohibited on or near the event without written permission.
  • The use of disposable BBQ’s and cooking stoves are only permitted in designated BBQ areas. Gas BBQ’s are not permitted.
  • Glass bottles are allowed however, please respect our grounds by using bins provided.

Carpark

What vehicles are allowed to park in the carpark?
Cars and motorbikes only permitted in the carpark.
Is there a fee for parking?
Yes. The cost to park for the day of the concert is €30 per vehicle.
What are the opening and closing hours for the carpark?
The carpark opens from 9am the morning of the concert. The carpark closes at midnight the day of the concert.
Can I stay in my car or camp beside my car in the carpark?
No. This is STRICTLY prohibited. Anyone found camping in the car park will be removed from the premises without refund.

Accessible Information

Is there an Accessible carpark available?

Yes. We can issue you a pass to the car park for accessible ticket holders – please avail of this should it be required via the booking form.

Please bring the pass and your accessible parking permit with you on the day of arrival.

The Accessible Car Park is the closet car park to the entrance of the site – though please bear in mind that everywhere at Slane is a long walk!

Please be advised that there will be a delay in exiting the car park after the show as An Garda Siochana give priority to pedestrians on the roads around the venue for a period after the show. 

Is there a campsite available for accessible customers?

Yes. We can issue you a pass to the campsite for accessible ticket holders – please avail of this should it be required via the booking form.

Please ensure to have this pass and your accessible parking permit on the day of arrival.

Will there be toilet facilities for accessible customers?

Yes, where possible, an accessible toilet should be located nearby red campsite. 

Please note this will be strictly regulated.

General Information

How do I go about booking with Castle Park Slane Campsite and Carpark?

You can book online by clicking here. This will take you to the contact page, where you will be asked to complete the booking form. A member of staff will be in contact with you shortly.

How do I access to Campsite and Carpark, if I want to leave?

You will be provided a wristband on entering the campsite and carpark on the day of arrival. This will allow you full access and must be visible when re-entering the campsite.

These wristbands must be worn at all times.

What time do the concert gates open?

Gates open 2pm (14:00). Please note there is no queuing before this time.

Are you far from the main event at Slane Castle?

No, we are approximately 5 minutes walk from the entrance of the concert.

Who is on the lineup?

Harry Styles is the headline act for Slane Castle on Saturday 10th June 2023. Please check the MCD website (www.mcd.ie) for further updates nearer the show date.

Who are the support acts?

The pop superstar will be supported by Inhaler and Wet Leg.

What will the weather be like?

Dress for the weather! Temperatures can vary dramatically from day to day in Ireland. It can be cold and wet the winter- November to February. In summer it is warmer but can still be cool, wet and windy. Be prepared!

Location and Travel

Where and when is Slane Castle Concert site?

Slane is 40 miles north of Dublin. On show day, the village is closed and a comprehensive traffic plan will be in operation. Access for car traffic will be via M1 and M3 and N2.  Allow travel time from Dublin of at least 90 minutes using Public Transport & please expect delays. Fans should allow themselves plenty of travel time when getting to the concert.

I am driving to the event, what is the best route?

From Dublin and the South take M50 to the M1 and exit at Slane exit. Follow signs for concert. 

  • Drogheda: take N51 to Slane & follow signs for concert parking. 
  • Northern Ireland and Ulster Counties: take M1 and exit at Dunleer / Collon exit. Follow signs for concert. 
  • Navan & the West: take N51 to Slane. Follow signs for concert. 

IMPORTANT: People with impaired mobility should only approach from Navan via the N51 in order to access designated car parks beside concert site.

I'm travelling from the UK - can you tell me best way of getting to Slane?

The best airport to fly into is Dublin Airport.  If arriving at Dublin or Dun Laoghaire ferry ports, take the M1 north out of Dublin and exit at the Slane exit and follow signs for designated car parking.  

I am driving to the event, what is the best route?
